Leadership Team

Chris Sullens, President and Chief Executive Officer:

Mr. Sullens is responsible for all aspects of the business including sales, marketing, corporate development, customer support and administration.  Chris joined Marathon Data Systems as Chief Financial Officer in January of 2008 and was promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer in December of 2008.  He was formerly with ServiceMaster, where he held a variety of marketing and sales roles within the company and its home service brands. Most recently, he led the online marketing efforts and retail partnerships for all of ServiceMaster's brands as Corporate Vice President of Internet Marketing and Retail Initiatives. Prior to ServiceMaster, Chris held senior executive roles with OurHouse.com, a leading Internet e-commerce company; Applied Value and PRTM, management consulting firms; and Alcatel Lucent, a leader in the telecommunications equipment industry. Chris has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and an M.B.A. with Honors in finance, strategy and entrepreneurship from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Praveen Chennareddy, Vice President of Strategy: 

Mr. Chennareddy leads Marathon’s finance team and spearheads all strategic initiatives related to business development, acquisitions and long-term financial planning.  Mr. Chennareddy joined Marathon in February 2011 from Gaja Capital Partners, an Indian-based private equity firm focusing on growth capital investments, where he was a Principal.  Praveen was previously a Vice President in alternative investments for Merrill Lynch in New York, where he focused on fund raising and analysis of private equity opportunities. Praveen has an M.B.A from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.A. in economics from Northwestern University.

Jason Kochel, Chief Technology Officer:

Mr. Kochel is responsible for all technical aspects of the business including software development, project management, infrastructure and administration. Jason joined Marathon Data Systems first as an intern in June of 1996, and full-time in June of 1999.  He architected the company’s transition from a Windows-based application to a web-based one.  He currently leads product management, drives all core application development, enterprise-wide module development and process improvement initiatives for Marathon’s pest and lawn verticals.  Jason has a computer science and economics degree from Dartmouth College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Eric Farr, Vice President of Engineering:  

Mr. Farr is responsible for all of Marathon’s R&D engineering efforts, which include architecting and developing its desktop and mobile applications of the future and improving the development processes across the organization through adoption of agile practices (collaboration, automated testing, and iterative & incremental development).  Mr. Farr joined Marathon in November 2011, bringing with him over twenty years of experience leading teams in building reliable, scalable, maintainable software systems. Most recently, Eric led the transformation of field service mobility provider, Agentek, from reliance on a proprietary, Windows Mobile, custom-build offering to a standards-based, cross-platform mobile product without peer in that space. As an early adopter in the Agile software movement, Eric worked with industry thought leader VersionOne and has consulted for a multitude of organizations including IBM, Ernst & Young, and Cox Communications.  Eric graduated Magna Cum Laude in Industrial Engineering at the University of Miami.

Chris Chapman, Division Vice President, ServiceCEO:

Mr. Chapman leads product development, sales and marketing for Marathon’s platform offerings in the HVAC/Plumbing and Janitorial/Cleaning verticals.  He joined Marathon in December 2010 with the acquisition of ServiceCEO, where he was Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer.  He is considered one of the top authorities in automating the management and back-office needs of service businesses, and he has helped thousands of single-site and franchise organizations streamline their business processes for growth, operational uniformity, and profit maximization.

Chris is a father of three, and he is an avid golfer and poker player. Chris and his wife, Allison, are very active in the community of parents of children with autism, helping to bring awareness and attention to searching for a cure to a health epidemic that now affects one out of 90 children in the United States, including their son CJ. 

Kelly Gliatta, Vice President of Customer Support:

Mrs. Gliatta is responsible for the technical support and customer service aspects of the business, which includes implementation, technical support, training, documentation, quality assurance, and support operations. Kelly joined Marathon Data Systems as a customer service representative in July 1999 and has led the Technical Support team since January 2004.   Kelly has a B.A. with Honors in psychology from Georgian Court University.

Curtis Knazick, CPA, Vice President of Finance:

Mr. Knazick leads Marathon's Accounting and Human Resoures teams. Curtis brings over 20 years of experience in start-up, mid-sized and large companies where he has held senior financial and operational positions at both public and private venture backed companies. Prior to Marathon, Curtis held senior executive roles with Metavante Risk and Compliance Solutions a division of Metavante Corporation, a publicly held financial technology company. Prior to Metavante, Curtis held senior roles at Thomson Financial, Broadbeam Corporation and Chase Manhattan Mortgage, the Internal Revenue Service and CPA firm Cowan, Gunteski & Company.  Curtis holds a B.S. degree in Management Information Systems from Ramapo College of New Jersey and is a Certified Public Accountant.
