Congratulations on setting up your new CustomerConnect Customer Portal! Now you can offer customers the convenience of 24/7 account access through a responsive, easy-to-use website. If you have not set up your portal yet, please refer to this document.
Beyond the convenience it provides your customers there are a number of benefits of using CustomerConnect, including:
Fewer phone calls to your office
Save your customer a phone call and save your office staff time. Customers can use the portal to review account and balance information, request service, and more.
Better cash flow
Still have customers who pay by snail mail? Save them a stamp and get your money faster by directing them to pay online. You may even want to offer a small discount or coupon for online payment.
Additional marketing opportunity
The portal allows you to display targeted marketing messages and announcements to your customers right when they log in. These messages can be created in the CustomerConnect Setup, accessed from the Company menu in PestPac.

LINK TO THE PORTAL FROM YOUR WEBSITE
Before you begin notifying your customers about the portal, be sure they can easily access it from your website by prominently displaying a “My Account” link or button. We suggest you position the link in the upper right corner of your site. The person who manages your website can use the information below to add a button to your site.
NOTIFY YOUR EXISTING CUSTOMER BASE OF THE NEW PORTAL
We suggest using a combination of these communication methods.
If you have not used the Marketing Text feature in PestPac before, this is a perfect opportunity. Marketing Text can be displayed on printed or emailed Service Orders and Invoices. For step-bystep instructions to set up Marketing Text, click here.
Using PestPac CallAhead, you can append information about the new portal to messages in the CallAhead Messages Lookup Table. If you use notification emails, add the portal information to the notification email template in Letters Lookup Table.
If you already send a customer newsletter, be sure to include information about the new portal. You may also choose to send a separate email message either using PestPac Marketing Automation or the standard email functionality. See the next page for our suggested messaging.
Your technicians are on the front lines talking with customers all day. Be sure to get them up-to-speed on the benefits of the new portal and ask them to help spread the word. If they need extra motivation, try a contest to see who can sign up the most customers.
NOTIFY INDIVIDUAL CUSTOMERS OF THE PORTAL
You’ll notice an additional section on the Bill-To screen labeled “PestPac CustomerConnect”. This is where you’ll see the email address(es) currently signed up for the portal for each account.
When you are on the phone with a customer, or any time you want to encourage an individual customer to create a login for the portal, you can use the “Invite User” button on the Edit Bill-To screen to have an email sent for them to register for the portal.
